Rural meditation retreats in Andalucia
June 8 - 10

This 2 day meditation retreat is set in the stunning rugged mountainside of Southern Andalucia in an Eco-Education centre.

We will be focusing on how to find deeper connections with others, but also with ourselves and our surroundings.

The retreat will consist of silent meditation sessions, interactive sessions and exercises to explore and deepen the act of 'connecting'. There will also be some time to go for walks in nature and connect to the desertlike, rural landscape we find ourselves in.

Vision Quest

Vision Quest

Rite of passage and and ritual for initiation
A Vision quest has its origins in the Tradition of the northern american Indians and was part of the culture of most ingigenous People. The Vision Quest, as it is perfomed more and more these days in our culture, was developped by Steven Foster and Meredith Little in the 1970ies. It's not an simple imitation of an indian ritual. Foster and Little took three important elements of the indigenous practice and created a new form of Vision Quest from it: 1.The Methods fasting, being alone in the wilderness and deprivation of sleep 2.The participant finds insights through deep introspection in his own psyche, he consecrates himself. 3.The universal structure of a traditional rite of passage: "Separation - threshold time - Rehabilitation" This rite of passage now works quite well, but the integration into, and valuation by, society and communities remains a challenge.

Oat flake crusher

Oat flake crusher

handdriven, wall or table mounted oat flake crusher
Freshly crushed oats not only taste a lot better, they are also more healthy because there's no time for nutritients to oxydize. And it's also fun to do, especially children love it. This oat crusher can be made of only recycled materials. If you speak german, I recommend the leaflet "Einfälle statt Abfälle - Die Müsliquetsche" distributed by "Packpapier Verlag", which contains very detailed instructions. The detailed description you'll find if you follow the link contains all the compacted instruction for the fabrication and assembly of the machine. If it helps you, you can also get the 3D CAD files (SolidWorks) of the machine as shown in the picture. Just contact me.

Gift-economy

Gift-economy

Social Permaculture
A gift economy, gift culture, or gift exchange is a mode of exchange where valuables are not traded or sold, but rather given without an explicit agreement for immediate or future rewards. This contrasts with a barter economy or a market economy, where goods and services are primarily exchanged for value received. Social norms and custom govern gift exchange. Gifts are not given in an explicit exchange of goods or services for money or some other commodity. Property is not a thing, but a relationship amongst people about things.[13] According to Hann, property is a social relationship that governs the conduct of people with respect to the use and disposition of things. Anthropologists analyze these relationships in terms of a variety of actors' (individual or corporate) "bundle of rights" over objects. Gift-giving in many societies is complicated because "private property" owned by an individual may be quite limited in scope (see 'The Commons' below).[12] Productive resources, such as land, may be held by members of a corporate group (such as a lineage), but only some members of that group may have "use rights". When many people hold rights over the same objects gifting has very different implications than the gifting of private property; only some of the rights in that object may be transferred, leaving that object still tied to its corporate owners. Anthropologist Annette Weiner refers to these types of objects as "inalienable possessions" and to the process as "keeping while giving."[6] Valuing and creating relationships, ressources and responsability a gift-economy is much more sustainable to grow independent communities. There is no debt, just surplus. The coordination of ressources, people and knowledge can be supported by appropriate technology to be effective and accessible. http://ecobasa.org, the gift-economy network for sustainable communities are working for this vision. By connecting people and sustainable communities in a global gift-economy network they facilitate the communication and exchange of experiences, knowledges, services and resources and create sustainable win-win relationships. By participating in this network, our movement can grow into a true alternative to our current global exploiting capitalistic system!
Uniorder - The Cooperative Society

Uniorder - The Cooperative Society

Only 3 steps are needed: Step 1: Human Rights – We must declare that we really want human rights for all people on the planet. Step 2: Fair monetary system – To 1st step become a reality we simply must create a fair monetary system, controlled by computers, where the wealth of the individual is proportional to the wealth of society. Step 3: Human resource optimization – In order to have progress, someone must work. Therefore, we must create a computerized social network. There are five simple tasks that anyone can do: Option 1: Do nothing. The cooperative society is inevitable. Option 2: Do not vote for political parties. Option 3: Spread the idea of cooperation. Option 4: Build cooperative communities. Option 5: Demand the government to implement the Uniorder. Discover the answers to these questions: - Why is inevitable to reform society? - Why is technically easy to build a paradise on Earth? - Why are most people not interrested? More on www.uniorder.org
 Uniorder: Urban Paradise

Uniorder: Urban Paradise

Video: https://youtu.be/U7a2zErCeuM Build a urban paradise without money - just changing the structure of society. Only problem: changing human mentality. Step 1: Human Rights – We must declare that we really want human rights for all people on the planet. Step 2: Fair monetary system – To 1st step become a reality we simply must create a fair monetary system, controlled by computers, which guarantees equal access to goods and where the wealth of the individual is proportional to the wealth of society. Step 3: Human resource optimization – In order to have progress, someone must work. Therefore, we must create a computerized social network where everyone is encouraged to help others and be helped by others. So everyone can get the most happiness and productivity. Positive point: "And though no man has anything, yet they are all rich." (Thomas More, Utopia, 1516) Negative point: Is against current mentality. Download instruction manual on www.uniorder.org
Community Schooling

Community Schooling

Community School, The Nature School, Local Learning - Allowing children to learn within their social environment
The Source Farm’s Nature School approach to education is to create a community school where the students can learn about their environment in a participatory way, as opposed to the chalk-and-talk style of conventional education. Nature School students spend a large amount of time outside of the classroom, learning from the natural world around them. We use a Montessori style of learning, which allows children to develop their critical thinking skills and to develop a relationship with the environment around them. Children will then use these same skills to navigate the world.
