The Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) course is a programme of GEN partner, Gaia Education. The curriculum was developed over a number of years by a group of Ecovillage educators from around the world calling themselves GEESE (Global Ecovillage Educators for Sustainable Earth). Launched in Findhorn in 2005, the Ecovillage Design Curriculum is an official contribution to the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development
The action weeks provide an opportunity to stay and work in ZEGG free of charge. During the action weeks, the focus is on working together, using work as the medium to become aware of group dynamics and to practice clear communication. The work completed during our action weeks makes an important contribution to ZEGG. Action weeks are especially suitable for people who have known us for some time. Working time is about 7 hours per day.

You work in our kitchen, garden or guesthouse or with our site maintenance and landscaping team. A variety of work is available, from light to physically demanding – so there should be something for everyone.
Summer guests work about five hours per day from Monday to Saturday, so there is enough time left for enjoying our site and making contacts. Every day the summer guest group meets for a morning attunement and for an evening session with group dialogues or other offers.
