Currently we are looking for people interested in building a self sustainable eco village / sacred school on 60+ hectares of private land with beautiful Cenotes and caves that has been purchased in Yucatan, Mexico near Nabalam. We will be working with local Mayans on agricultural and building projects, and could use the help of any people experienced with or that have a passion for renewable energy, eco-building, permaculture, social and economic organization, etc. in exchange for partial land ownership. The Goals and Objectives : Transform financial capital into ecological and social wealth while preserving and maintaining little to no impact on the land and Earth Ecological Goals(includes agriculture and resource utilization) Create a model of a resilient permaculture farm/garden(s). Employ ecological principles in land use practices. (i.e. keep the land clean and free of chemical pollutants) Design and build perennial components in our food system. Provide 50%-100% of food onsite (as possible and necessary) Create and follow sustainable forest management plan Create areas of sanctuary Utilize onsite building materials Employ low-no carbon footprint technologies. (i.e. hydro/solar/wind power, etc.) Social Goals -(cultural, semi-communal, educational and spiritual possibilities) Create a retreat Beautify spaces (common and private) with a positive and no negative environmental impact Provide spiritually and practically relevant learning opportunities Host and/or lead educational workshops, arts/music/culture gatherings Build ecological community kitchen Administer apprenticeship programs -
